Configuration, Review & Performance Of Laptop Provided Under Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana

Like other Indian States, Our state Government distributing Free Laptops to Meritorious Plus 2 students under "Biju Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana (BYSY)". In my village 2 or more students got their laptop from the Govt. last week. However they doesn't even know how to open and operate that Miracle machine. Their family offering Coconut and flowers to god because they are really happy about this scheme. I invited one of them with his laptop to check the configuration. Here is what I got:-

Performance:

The laptop is by default locked with a password and the password is "password" (small letters).

Major thing is Students can't be able to play High res. Video Games. Laptop got only one Drive. And that is "C" Drive, size about 349GB. Sound quality is awesome. Very good bass. There is a defect in Screen (square spot inside screen, this defect is limited to this laptop, maybe!). (Check out Below Picture). Webcam is OK for students. They can smoothly browse Internet pages. Can make Word, Excel, Power Point documents. But the OS and Office edition is higher than students Mind. Here in our area, Computer Institutions using XP or Windows 7 along with MS Office 2003/7. Win 8 with Office 2013 like a dream for them. BTW, I heard that many of laptop coming with lots of defect. Students are so much unhappy because they are about to hear: "Laptop Kharap Padila"
