As per the notification provided by OPSC, Odisha -- Civil Service Preliminary Examination, 2015 to be conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) will be held on November 8, 2015.
According to the notification, the Preliminary and Main -- examination will be held at five Zonal Centres -Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balesore, Berhmapur and Sambalpur. Candidates, who will qualify in the Preliminary Examination, shall be called by the Commission, to appear in the Main Examination.
The qualifying marks in the Preliminary Examination -- shall be such as may be fixed by the Commission. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination shall not be counted for ranking, said official sources.
The Preliminary Examination shall consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and each paper shall be of -- two hours duration. Paper I and Paper II (General Studies) will carry 200 marks each.
The Main Examination shall comprise Odia language, English, English Essay, General Studies-I and II papers, two optional subjects having two papers each as prescribed.
